This item is used as part of the head ornament. Not only does it help to keep the larger scarf in place but it decorates the forehead and helps to hold other pieces of gold in place by serving as an anchor for the piece which drapes across the forehead. This triangular shaped, satin scarf measures approximately 28 inches across. There is one row of gold coins, 3/4 inch across, and on top of the edge of coins are "half balls", also 3/4 inch across, followed by a band of gold sequins. In all, it measures 2 inches by 12 inches. The scarf comes in a variety of colors. Feel free to click on the picture for a closer view.
