Neolithic African beads handstrung by me with antique Tuareg solid coin silver beads, old excavated carnelian, Mother of Pearl, and an occasional glass trade bead. The other, gemmy green stone beads you see interspersed are British Columbian Jade. Another view. The granite stone -- How could they do it? Pressure and time. Origin, Mali. See the age. Example of museum quality beads. These Neolithic stone beads are generally found in the N.W. Sahara, and are 2,000-8,000 yrs. old, from the time before the area became a desert..
